Daniela Fernandez is CEO of Sustainable Ocean Alliance, which she founded at age 19 while studying economics and government at Georgetown University. In the five years since, she’s built a global organization that’s cultivating and accelerating solutions to protect and sustain the ocean’s health. Fernandez is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur, World Economic Forum Global Shaper, and member of Friends of Ocean Action. One of Azula’s Top 5 Ocean Heroes of 2016, she received the Peter Benchley Ocean Award and Bustle Upstart Award. As a social entrepreneur and thought leader, she has spoken at events including The Economist World Ocean Summit, Net Impact Conference, and at the United Nations.
